 Most recently, I've been working on items to place in RITA'S BACKYARD as well as the ARTISTS ON THE SQUARE Boutique in downtown Noblesville. In addition, I've been pleased to be working on SPECIAL ORDERS for friends - cards and gifts.

If you have a special event or occasion coming up, why settle for a 'store bought' card or gift, when you can give a one-of-a-kind!? Have you seen something you like somewhere, contact me and we can talk about it and I can PROBABLY come up with something close! (and even better!!)...my new motto: "If this was a HALLMARK, it wouldn't look this good!" - true, that.

Browse some of the photos here, and check back often to see more. Also, PLEASE PLEASE visit the sites of my favorite stores and designers. Most of them are my inspiration!

its almost laughable...

Well, I have so many good intentions but am so good at sabotaging myself...and here we go again!

Katie was trying to set up a website for me, but that does not seem to be working out, so we might just stick w/ this and see if I can figure out how to maximize it. And maybe even figure out how to personalize it. Hmmmm...

I've been working hard to get lots of goodies done for my upcoming HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE this Saturday. I'm happy to have 8 other fine women representing quality companies:

ARBONNE
DISCOVERY TOYS
PAMPERED CHEF
PREMIER DESIGNS
SCENTSY
TASTEFULLY SIMPLE
THIRTY-ONE
UPPERCASE LIVING

I hope we'll have a decent turn out. I admit I get the feeling that not everyone did as much as they could to invite everyone they know. I have a couple theories on that, but will not voice them. Suffice it to say I'm disappointed that everyone didn't 'go all out' to encourage their circle to stop by, giving other businesses some new exposure. Hmmmm....

I still have not ventured outside this house w/ any of my 'stuff'....not enough courage. Anxious to see what kind of reception I get from our little gathering on Saturday...it will be telling. It'll tell me whether or not to even bother with any of this.

Thing is, tho, I just enjoy it so much. I love the creative process and the actual 'work' of making an idea come to life. But seems there is little interest in hand-made items. I 'think' my work is quality - clean, simple and artistic - but few want to actually pay for that. Granted, hand-made items, esp if they are truly one-of-a-kind, cost more because of all the TLC and TIME that goes into every single piece...and $$ IS an object.

I know there are people actually making $ out there...or at least breaking even. I'm so far from that. So, can I keep going for only the JOY of it?? Have to think that through....

Will post a few more photos of my recent efforts.

Enjoy your day!

Okay...here we go...

I've been dragging my feet here...maybe afraid I can't keep up?

But I'm still being URGED to at least TRY a little something w/ my cards. Here's where I plan to go:

1. Catholic bookstore in Carmel to see about consigning FIRST COMMUNION, CONFIRMATON, BAPTISM cards;
2. Floral shops, with flower/gift enclosure cards, as well as greeting cards and specialized local-school-related greetings;
3. Notice on FB that I'm doing cards as commissioned - gift sets, special occaision, etc.

Several people have been extremely helpful in making suggestions and encouraging me in this. My confidence wanes because I know there are so many artists out there. I keep thinking my designs are no better than anyone else's...maybe some are not, but maybe there are many who'll like what I do.

If you are reading this, its because you are my friend, or a mutual friend suggested you consider my work. THANK YOU!

I'll be posting photos of projects I've recently completed. If you see something you like, keep in mind that ANY card can be taylored to your preference of colors. There is NO END to the designs concepts!

Consider gift sets, of 6 or 8 cards, for teachers and friends. I've done gift sets for my boys' teachers the past couple years and they have been enthusiastically received.

Thanks for stopping by. Stop in often for updated photos of my work.

Just a start...

I've been encouraged by friends and family alike to post and "advertise" my cards. I know there are thousands of artists out there but I know my designs are unique -- clean lines, simple styles, and meaningful themes -- and they might just appeal to someone.

So, in order to have some place to send people to look at my designs, I'm trying this avenue.

We'll see what happens.
